I’ve been interested in photography since I was a kid, wandering around with an old 110 camera I purchased at a garage sale. When I was 13 I saved my allowance and performed odd jobs for family members until I could afford my first “real” camera – a Nikon 35mm SLR. I've continued to pursue my passion for photography ever since. In recent years, the advent of high-quality digital cameras has changed photography for me, and I’ve fallen in love all over again.
As a photographer, I’m drawn to unusual angles, textures, shapes, shadows, and light. I enjoy manipulating composition and perspective to create images that are engaging out of context, and capturing unique lighting and environmental conditions.
I currently reside in the Brookside area in Kansas City with my wife Karen and our chocolate Labrador. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City. When not holding down my day job, I can frequently be found wandering around with my camera.
